Samsung Launches The Dual-SIM Galaxy A7 (2016) And Galaxy A5 (2016) Smartphones For India

Samsung today launched the 2016 edition of the Galaxy A smartphones–the Galaxy A7 (2016) and the Galaxy A5 (2016) that come with price tags of Rs 33,400 and Rs 29,400 respectively. These Dual-SIM handsets are a fusion of glass and metal. These smartphones will be available on Snapdeal as well as offline retail outlets starting February 15 in Gold, Black & White colors.

Manu Sharma, director, Mobiles Business, Samsung India Electronics said, “Continuing the Galaxy A legacy in India, the Galaxy A7 (2016) and the Galaxy A5 (2016) come with a stunning glass and metal design and Flagship like features such as enhanced camera, long lasting battery space with fast charging capability and a powerful Octa-Core processor that can tackle heavy usage.”

Specifications

Both Samsung Galaxy A7 (2016) and the Galaxy A5 (2016) come with a powerful Octa-core processor, enhanced LTE Cat6 network capability, fingerprint sensor technology and run Android 5.1 Lollipop out-of-the-box. While the display of the Galaxy A7 (2016) is 5.5″ FHD Super AMOLED, the Galaxy A5 (2016) comes with a 5.2″ FHD Super AMOLED display.

Cameras

The Galaxy A7 (2016) and the Galaxy A5 (2016) comprise of 13MP rear and 5MP front cameras with f1.9 aperture. These cameras also come with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) to ensure blur free photographs. The front cameras of both these devices incorporate features such as palm gesture selfie, wide-angle selfie as well as beautifying effects.

Battery

On the battery front, the Galaxy A7 (2016) and the Galaxy A5 (2016) come with 3,300mAh and 2,900 mAh batteries respectively.

Memory

As far as storage capacity is concerned, Samsung Galaxy A7 (2016) comes with 3GB RAM and 16GB internal memory that can be expanded by up to 128GB using a microSD card. On the other hand, the Galaxy A5 (2016) is equipped with 2GB RAM and an in-built storage of 16GB internal memory, which is expandable by up to 128GB via microSD.

Connectivity options

Both Samsung Galaxy A7 (2016) and the A5 (2016) carry Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth® v 4.1, ANT+, USB 2.0, NFC (UICC, eSE) as connectivity options.
