The stage is set for Google to debut the new Nexus phones in India and it has decided to do before Apple iPhone 6S steps in the country. The phones will be officially unveiled at media event on October 13 in the country and one can expect their availability before end of this month.
It is interesting to note that Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P were globally announced just weeks back and already the products are ready to be shipped to India. As you might know, the Nexus 5X has been made by LG, while Huawei is the latest in line but first Chinese brand to make a Nexus, the Nexus 6P to be precise. The price of the 16GB variant of Nexus 5X will be Rs 31,900 while the 32GB variant of Nexus 6P will cost Rs 39,999 which were pretty much confirmed via Google Play store listing recently.
Nexus 6P sports a 5.7-inch Quad-HD 2560x1440p AMOLED display running on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Powered by 64-bit SoC, 3GB of RAM, it is highly expected that the Nexus 6P has all the attributes to become a popular choice among mid-range phone buyers. Huawei and Google have opted for a 12.3MP rear camera which, as per Google, is powerful enough to click pictures in the lowest of light, let alone bright outdoor conditions.
Nexus 5X comes with a 5.2-inch screen and has a 1080p display, which is protected by Gorilla Glass 3 and weighs 136 grams. The Nexus 5X is also fitted with a 12.3MP rear camera that is capable of recording 4K video as well as slow motion video. The Nexus 5X packs in a 2,700mAh battery and supports USB-C charging connector for fast charging.
We’ll be reporting live from the event. Stay tuned for update on India availability of the phones.
